All of our life experiences contribute to who we are. Not only the good things are reflected in our path, but also, and maybe more so the hard things influence who we become. This is how I became a Reflexologist!
I first began working as a Cosmetologist, but had to leave the industry only after two years, due to severe allergies from the chemicals.
During the next decade, I would see other health conditions, such as fatigue and skin disorders persist. There were a number of doctor visits that did not produce relief for any of my symptoms.
I began to do my own research which influenced me to begin a new career path and obtain my Associates degree in Environmental Science. From my studies, I learned many things to help me personally, including how to reduce my toxic load.
My daughter and son were also born in 2005 and 2008, both of who are the greatest joy In my life, but also taxed my body during each pregnancy. My symptoms began to spiral out of control in the following years. Suffering has a way of helping us achieve a greater spiritual connection, to avoid having it destroy us.
Through prayer, fasting, and continually researching my health issues, I was led to a chiropractor who was able to pinpoint my symptoms to Hashimoto’s disease, an autoimmune thyroid disorder. In my quest for healing, I was guided to many wonderful Holistic practitioners. I also learned how effective natural and alternative medicine and healing techniques are for our bodies!
I have used nutrition, acupuncture, acupressure, essential oils, applied kinesiology, biofeedback and many other healing techniques that work synergistically with the bioelectrical energy or meridian pathways in our body.
As I began to feel stronger and see a decrease in my symptoms, my desire was to help others in their own healing journey, so I began reflexology classes in Asheville, NC!
At Arise Reflexology, I offer my training in western technique combined with Eastern technique (TCM and Neuro Foot reflexology)!
I feel blessed and grateful to assist you in your own healing journey and look forward to hearing from you!
